# Posts

> Write and publish articles that link to records

## Overview

Posts are articles on Arkhub: a write-up of a site, a field report, an argument about a dating. You write them in the editor, link records into them, and publish them. A published post has its own address at `app.arkhub.co/your-username/post/its-title`, shows on your profile and on Discover, and takes comments.

## Writing a post

**1. Open the editor**

Go to [app.arkhub.co/publish](https://app.arkhub.co/publish). You need to be signed in.

**2. Title and subtitle**

Write a title and a subtitle. Add a cover image: upload your own or search Unsplash.

**3. Write**

Type **/** on an empty line to add a block: text, headings, bullet and numbered lists, a quote, an image, a YouTube video or a post from X. **Add Site** links a record into the post. Select text for bold, italic, links and colour.

**4. Pick categories**

Tag the post with categories such as excavation, megalithic, remote sensing or underwater archaeology. Discover lists posts by category.

**5. Publish**

The editor saves drafts as you write. Click **Publish** when it is ready. You can unpublish a post later, and edit a published post; your edits stay a draft until you publish again.

## Versions

The editor keeps versions of a post as you write. Open the version history to read an earlier version or go back to it.

## Co-authors

Add co-authors to a post. They get an invitation in their notifications and can accept or decline. Co-authors edit the post together: you see each other's cursors, and the editor shows whether you are connected.

## Comments

Readers comment on a published post. The discussion stays with the post.

## Finding posts

* **Discover** in the sidebar shows posts by category, with featured posts and repositories.
* **Recently Added** lists the newest posts.
* A profile's **Posts** tab lists everything a person has published.
* Search (**⌘K**) finds posts by title.
